Hefei can be reached by air or by high-speed train via Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. Public transportation and taxis (no reseration is needed) are available at Hefeinan Railway Station and Hefei Xinqiao International Airport. If you arrive at Shanghai Pudong airport, you can take the metro (subway) line 2 to Shanghai Hongqiao railway station (about 1.5 hours). It costs about CNY 8.
