On December 24, 2025, the East Campus Gymnasium of the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) was bustling with excitement as the "Unite as One · Fun Tug-of-War Competition" of the School of Earth and Space Sciences kicked off enthusiastically. A total of 15 teams with nearly 300 teachers and students from various majors of the school competed on the same stage, taking the rope as a bridge and strength as a medium to fulfill an appointment of "strength and unity" in the winter.

Organized by the Trade Union of the School, the competition consisted of two divisions: the Faculty Group (6 teams) and the Student Group (9 teams). It adopted a three-stage progressive competition system: "Group Stage + Mixed Stage + Final". The Group Stage was decided by a single match, with the top two teams in each group advancing to the Mixed Stage; the Special Prize team was then selected in the Mixed Stage. The interlocking competition schedule tested not only physical fitness but also tactical coordination. Cheers and shouts echoed constantly on the scene, turning the gymnasium into an ocean of joy.

After multiple rounds of fierce competition, the "Planetary Science Team", jointly formed by teachers and students from the major of Planetary Science and Exploration Technology, fought their way through and ultimately claimed the First Prize in the Faculty Division.

Although the winter is cold, the passion runs high. This fun tug-of-war competition not only enriched the campus cultural life of teachers and students but also narrowed the distance between each other amid laughter, turning the word "team" from a slogan into the warmth of hearts connected hand in hand. A tug-of-war rope links the friendship between teachers and students and gathers the cohesion of the School of Earth and Space Sciences. The school leaders also encouraged everyone to bring the high spirits and tacit cooperation displayed on the field back to the laboratories and field stations, and achieve new successes on the new journey of "exploring the Earth and pursuing dreams in deep space"!

地空学院趣味拔河赛圆满落幕 行星科学代表队勇夺教工组一等奖

2025年12月24日，中国科学技术大学东区篮球馆人声鼎沸、气氛热烈，地球和空间科学学院“凝心聚力·趣味拔河赛”在此激情上演。来自学院各专业的15支代表队、近300名师生同台竞技，以绳为桥、以力为媒，共赴一场冬日里的“力量与团结”之约。

本次比赛由学院工会主办，设教工组与学生组两大板块，其中教工组6队、学生组9队。赛事采用“小组赛+混合赛+决赛”三级递进赛制：小组赛一局定胜负，各组积分前两名晋级混合赛；混合赛阶段再决出特等奖团队。环环相扣的赛程既考验体能，更比拼战术配合，现场加油声、欢呼声此起彼伏，将篮球馆化作欢乐的海洋。

经过多轮激烈角逐，由行星科学与探测技术专业师生联合组建的“行星科学队”一路过关斩将，最终斩获教工组一等奖。

冬日虽寒，热血难凉。本次趣味拔河赛不仅丰富了师生校园文化生活，更在欢声笑语中拉近了彼此距离，让“团队”二字从口号变成心手相连的温度。一条拔河绳，连接的是师生情，凝聚的是地空心。学院领导也寄语大家把赛场上昂扬的斗志、默契的配合带回实验室、带到野外台站，在‘探索地球、逐梦深空’的新征程上再创佳绩！
