In October 2023, the first-level interdisciplinary doctoral degree authorization of Planetary Science and Exploration Technology independently reviewed by the University of Science and Technology of China was approved by The State Council. The first-level interdisciplinary subject of planet consists of four secondary subjects: planetary physics, planetary chemistry and biology, planetary exploration instrument technology, and planetary resource utilization. This discipline gives full play to the advantages and characteristics of the cutting-edge research and laboratory engineering technology of the University of Science and Technology of China, guided by the national deep space exploration engineering task, and trains high-level talents in the integration development of engineering, science, technology and application.
China's deep space exploration starts from the lunar exploration project. It has completed the historical missions of circling, landing and returning to the moon, and achieved the first Mars exploration. The future manned lunar landing, Mars sampling return, lunar research station, Mars base, Venus/Jupiter/solar system marginal exploration, need a large number of senior professionals related to planetary science and exploration technology. The opportunity of the establishment of the Deep Space Exploration Laboratory closely combines the discipline construction, personnel training and the national deep space exploration project, and provides crucial support for the establishment of planetary level interdisciplinary disciplines.
The University of Science and Technology of China has its own advantages in the construction of interdisciplinary disciplines. At present, 11 disciplines have been selected into the list of world-class disciplines, and it is the only university in China with mathematics, science, chemistry, astronomy, earth, biology and materials as "double first-class" construction disciplines. 行星科学与探测技术一级交叉学科2024年开始招生
2023年10月,中国科大自主审核增列的行星科学与探测技术一级交叉学科博士学位授权点获国务院学位办批准.行星一级交叉学科包含行星物理学、行星化学与生物学、行星探测仪器技术、行星资源利用4个二级学科。该学科充分发挥中国科大前沿研究和实验室工程技术的优势特色,以国家深空探测工程任务为牵引,培养工程、科学、技术和应用融合发展的高水平人才.
我国的深空探测以探月工程为起点,目前已完成了探月工程绕、落、回的历史任务,实现首次火星探测;未来载人登月、火星采样返回、月球科研站、火星基地、金星/木星/太阳系边际探测,需要大量行星科学和探测技术相关的高级专业人才.深空探测实验室的成立契机,将学科建设、人才培养与国家深空探测工程紧密结合起来,为行星一级交叉学科的设立提供了至关重要的支持.
